When I first started this publication, I told myself that I would “go to paid” at 200 subscribers. Well, I feel as though I jumped the gun in making this publication a paid one at around 180 subscribers. I would much rather change the approach to a subscribe if you want kind of model. I appreciate the number of free subscribers I have as well as the various publications around this platform, that either highlight my work or join me for projects. Even if slightly less than half of those subscribers take time to read what I write, which is the case as of now, that is still better than zero. I would much rather people be able to read and comment on what I write, consider paying, than have to pay.
When I say subscribe if you want, it means everything will be available for free, but if you choose to pay, I would be humbled and appreciative. The same prices apply, $5 monthly, $50 yearly, $175 for life. However, I plan on adding an extra incentive for the next month and a half or so—in order to kick 2025 off right.
From now until January 31, 2025 I would like you, the subscriber, to consider a paid subscription and also to spread the word about this little ‘ol slice of the internet to other like-minded individuals. Those being music nerds, audiophile or audiophile-curious folks, and basically anyone that likes new music and music retrospectives.
In order to do that I am, going top do a giveaway from my collection. Purchasing a yearly subscription, $50, gets you one entry into the giveaway, purchasing a lifetime membership gets you 4 entries. There are first, second, and third place giveaways. I will also ship worldwide. Any paid subscriber will get free shipping from CB’s New & Used Records, which will be launching first quarter 2025.
The drawing will occur on February 1, 2025 via video and random number selection—it will be posted here.
